Just Die Already (2021) is a sandbox game where you play a retiree in a near future where people aren’t having any children and pension funds are drying up. It's an intentionally absurd set-up of old people fending for themselves in a world that wants them to "Just Die Already" to create madcap mayhem.

Playing as an "old person", your task is not only to survive but to perform dangerous challenges and explore the world for retirement tickets. Like the developer's previous game Goat Simulator it's a bizarre race to find secrets score points, and not die in all manner of bone-cracking ways.

The world can be interacted with in all sorts of ways, with lots of items to pick up and real physics simulated. The city is filled with detailed environments, loaded with secrets and hidden paths, that encourage detailed exploration and quirky experimentation to truly see it all.

Rated PEGI 12 for moderate violence. This game contains moderate violence. However, the violence is comic and non-realistic in nature, with the player's character reacting in an exaggerated manner to various improbable events such as stepping on land mines and being eaten by piranhas. While blood is shown and characters can be dismembered, this is presented in a comic and non-realistic manner, with characters able to continue moving even with limbs and other body parts missing.
 
Users Interact: The game enables players to interact and communicate with each other, so may expose players to language usually associated with older rated games.
The marketing material described some of the interactions... "Ever wanted to turn yourself into a human missile, launching yourself at your foe from a catapult? Just Die Already has you covered. Considered using your disembodied head as a weapon to take out your rival? That’s just part and parcel of play. Just Die Already is filled to the brim with crazy tools and contraptions."

Skill Level

9+ year-olds usually have the required skill to enjoy this game. Still, it's important for parents and guardians to consider the maturity required to process the game content. Although the content is quite edgy and a little dark, it appeals to younger players who enjoy this outlandish and silly sense of humour. Players need to work with the strange controls and spotting hidden items and objects in the world to progress.
