Play Overview
Lorelei And The Laser Eyes (2024) is a narrative brain game where you are stuck in a mysterious maze unsure of whether to trust your senses or the people you meet. Play involves using the clues you find to solve puzzles and traverse the maze to safety. It stands out not only for the clever challenges but how it plays on your ability (and inability) to remember things while encountering events from the past, present, and future.
You play a woman who finds herself in an unfamiliar building. Is it an old baroque manor? Or perhaps a hotel? Or even a museum? As you explore you meet three people: an international auteur, an aristocratic artist and a vagabond illusionist.
The challenge is not only to escape the maze but to watch closely for numbers, patterns and puzzles that offer a clue about what is happening. In this way you slowly and haphazardly uncover competing narratives: a macabre game, a complot, a simple treasure hunt.
The result is a game that breaks the mould by combining escape rooms, text adventures and intriguing explorable spaces. It moves you between three periods of 1847, 1963 and 2014 while international espionage with the paranormal interweave between them all.
