You jump and shoot your way through five worlds full of treacherous enemies with your trusty pop-gun. It's an unusual, almost balletic, shooting game that's both challenging and non-threatening.

Play OverviewPlay Overview

Lovely Planet is a shooting game which focuses on athletic flow and accuracy rather than headshots and gore. You jump and shoot your way through five worlds full of treacherous enemies with your trusty pop-gun. It's an unusual, almost balletic, shooting game that's both challenging and non-threatening.

You play by moving and jumping your way through the world. The aim is to get through the level as quickly and as accurately as possible. You balance jumping, dodging and taking aim as you rush through each environment. There are multiple secrets hidden deep within each world which mean you are likely to play through each level many times. You can also set personal and world record times.

There are three versions of the game:
  • Lovely Planet (2014) Original game.
  • Lovely Planet Arcade (2016) Puzzle-oriented first-person shooter
  • Super Lovely Planet (2017) Third-person platform in which the player controls a bouncing ball.
  • Lovely Planet 2: April Skies (2019) Sequel shooting game.
  • Lovely Planet Remis (2021) Collection of levels from the previous games.

The result is a game about shooting that feels more like a sport and less like armed combat. It's a great alternative to more violent shooters, but also a great challenge in its own right.
