Play Overview
Morgan: Metal Detective is a collecting adventure game where you reunite residents of a beautiful Cornish island by finding the things they have lost. You explore the island and use your metal detector to search for hidden treasures (and maybe some rubbish) just below the surface. Take pictures, trade in your finds, collect sticker packs, cassette tapes and make your own little slice of paradise.
You play Morgan, a teenage girl visiting the Cornish island of Glasden with her Mum. The trip is to your Grandpa's home after he has died, where you discover that he left you his old metal detector. In his honour you investigate the legends of the island's secret treasure he’d always talked about.
You move around the island and meet the local residents to find clues to where the treasure might be. As you progress you find other things that your new friends need for both practical and personal reasons. Completing these side quests enables you to slowly start to realise there is more to the legend of the treasure than a shiny bit of metal in the ground. Along the way, you take pictures with your instant camera and record your progress in your journal.
The game invites you to explore this little Cornish island with a sense of childlike wonder. It starts as a quest to find treasure but soon evolves into a journey about the importance of memory and the objects they are connected to both ourselves and the people we live with.
