Onde (2022) is an ethereal movement and exploration game where you dive into a fluid world full of sounds. As you move through the abstract landscapes they respond with notes and music. It's an unusual experience because the interactions invite you not only to progress but to create and discover soothing soundscapes along the way.
Play involves guiding your creature through the world to create and follow ephemeral paths of sound and light. As you progress you can both follow and accompany other lifeforms through the delicate world that responds to your presence. You need to work with the shapes, motions and momentum you find. Do this well and you can catch a wave in this smooth sound-surfing platform and let the music carry you fluidly through serene abstract landscapes.
The result is a meditative experience reminiscent of Bit Generations, Locoroco, Hohokum and Electroplankton. You enter a world filled with wonders and explore manifold areas with unique visuals and puzzle mechanics. Help life find its way through the darkness by filling the shell and sparking a light.
