Play Overview
Pan'orama (2023) is a simulation-building game where you place tiles to score points and lay out an interconnected tapestry world. Play involves deciding where to place each of your tiles to match adjacent land and score the most. It takes the elegant puzzle of Dorfromantik in new directions with simpler matching, but a greater focus on landscape curation.
In Pan'orama you create a landscape by placing your stack of tiles. While the focus is on the relaxed feel of this process, you are also working to score points by matching the elements on your tile with what is on the neighbouring pieces. Unlike Dorfromantik what matters is what is on the tile as a whole, rather than matching the edges.
As you progress you get quest tiles that require specific criteria to be completed around them to unlock bonus points and additional tiles. You also get to make a choice of structures to add to your landscape with cards that pop up. Adding these structures and completing quests and biomes that unlock more ways to expand your landscape. Whether you want to create a serene forest surrounding a forester's lodge, an endless ocean full of geysers or a bustling city filled with unique buildings, the possibilities are there.
The result is a game that's both calming and inviting. There's always one more thing to do to your landscape. Little touches like the way it animates, or being able to pet the animals for bonus points, give it a real feeling of quality.
