Although the game is inspired by Paper Mario, it's more focused on quick levels and simple real-time combat. Each level you visit is different each time, and its intention is that you play through multiple runs. When you die, and you will die, you start again but with a bit more experience and kit than last time.
In this way you adventure deeper into the world and face more challenging enemies. There are also quests and missions you can take on for extra experience. In between levels, you can visit the camp to catch your breath, manage your team and update your inventory.
The result is a simple adventure game with cute visuals. It's still quite hard at times, but a great way to try out how these rogue-like adventures work.

Paper Animal RPG uses a profanity filter service when it comes to text-input from users, but it won't be able to spot every kind of offensive/inappropriate language and statements. Because of that, you can disable online user-created content via the Settings Menu.
6+ year-olds usually have the required skill to enjoy this game. This is a role-play game that very young players can enjoy. Things do ramp up, but with help from a parent or carer this can be a good first step into the world of role play games.
