PaperKlay is a running, jumping and collecting game where you explore a hand-made world made to find eggs. Play is the usual platforming, but the paper world means you can also open, unfold, and rotate your way forward. It stands out for how the paper construction integrates with the way you get around and save the day.
Meet and befriend a charming cast of craftspeople, from the cardboard scarecrows of Foldy Woods to the great Pinecone King, the spiky monarch of Pinecone Village. You explore the open world with double jumps, dashes, and glides. To progress there are puzzles to solve, quests to complete and eggs to find.
The result is a game in the style of classic 3D platformers with a home-made twist. The clay, cardboard and paper construction is more than an aesthetic as it opens up new ways to interact and get around the world.
