Simulator Review

Pro Gymnast Simulator (2020) is a game about gymnastics, parkour, and obstacle courses. You control a gymnast who can achieve amazing feats, however you have to pull them off by controlling your limbs and body directly. The result is a game that's unusual to control, hard to master, and really satisfying when you pull off that perfect routine.

You play by controlling your athlete directly. Unlike other games where you direct your character by input a command of where you want them to go and letting the game control the limbs, here you use sticks and buttons to control specific parts of the gymnast's body. It's confusing and a little frustrating at first, but the unique controls grant you almost unlimited expressive freedom (and some hilarious fails).

You progress through different series of events and challenges. Some are like classic gymnastics but others are more obstacle courses. It's a game that doesn't take itself too seriously (not seriously at all in fact) and it's all the better for it.
