Rainswept (2019) is an adventure game where you investigate a murder with the themes of love, relationships and unresolved trauma.

You are Detective Michael Stone, assisting local police with a seemingly simple case. A couple is found dead in their kitchen. The locals believe it to be a case of suicide. You slowly discover the truth by talking to the locals, exploring and investigating the town, interviewing suspects and reliving the victims' memories.

It's a game with writing and storytelling to match the mature themes. With surreal 2D art it constructs a narrative that is both intriguing and unnerving. But this is a story you have to uncover as you interact with the town full of characters with deep backstories, distinct personalities and a whole lot of opinions.

Our examiner, Andy Robertson, first checked Rainswept 4 years ago. It was re-examined by Jo Robertson and updated 2 years ago.
