Play Overview
Remote Planets (2023) is a block-pushing puzzle game where moving the blocks also changes the world. You work to push blocks onto target locations, but the twist is that certain blocks also reshape the level itself. This means that solving puzzles is as much about reconfiguring platforms as which block to push where.
Each level requires you to get a certain block to the goal tile. It's a combination of block-pushing and path-making logic. You carefully push blocks to avoid getting them stuck. But also, use special blocks to manipulate the level and create a path to the goal. In this way, you use these powers to completely reconfigure levels to make completion possible.
As you progress, the levels get larger and more complex, introducing new features like tiles that usefully fix the level-moving blocks in place. These various systems must be used in tandem to complete levels, which gets challenging (and satisfying once solved).
This results in an unusual puzzle where you get to change the shape of the world in which you are working. It looks cute and peaceful but actually requires considerable logic and forward-thinking.
