Play OverviewPlay Overview

Resident Evil 4 (2005) is a survival shooting game where you play U.S. government special agent Leon S. Kennedy, on a mission to rescue the President's daughter from a cult. You play by exploring the different areas, searching for equipment and fending off zombies with guns and other weapons.

In rural Spain you fight hordes of villagers infected by a mind-controlling parasite. In a groundbreaking departure from previous games in the series, your view of the world moves with you as more mobile enemies steadily surround you. Play involves dealing with the zombie threat while also managing resources.

The result is a game that has become renowned for for its story, gameplay and strong voice acting. It has won many awards and influenced the form of survival horror games, popularizing the over-the-shoulder view of the world.
