Return to Monkey Island is a point-and-click pirate adventure where you complete puzzles, meet the other pirates and explore the tropical island and high seas on your path to fortune and glory. As a continuation of the Monkey Island series, it contains the same lighthearted tone and charming characters but now with a new story, art style and mechanics.

You play swashbuckling pirate Guybrush Threepwood who, many years after his last encounter with his nemesis LeChuck, returns to the archipelago to find things in disarray - incompetent leadership and civilians imprisoned. You explore the islands' many locations, complete with the series famous context-based puzzles. Interacting with characters, both new and returning favourites, can help to solve these, and add colour and humour to proceedings.

As you progress, you travel further afield, eventually reaching Terror island and Brr Muda, where you find both new enemies to fight and friends that assist you in your quest to restore order.

It's a classic tale of friends and enemies, heroes and villains with adventure on the high seas. Unlike other games after the original two classics, this marks the return of the iconic series’ creator Ron Gilbert, joined by game co-writer Dave Grossman, art director Rex Crowle (Knights & Bikes, Tearaway), and composers Peter McConnell, Michael Land, and Clint Bajakian (Monkey Island, Monkey Island 2: LeChuck’s Revenge). It concludes the trilogy while updating the formula of the previous games with new characters, more complex puzzles and deeper interaction with the world and its inhabitants that brings the beloved franchise to a new audience.
