Slayaway Camp: Butcher's Cut is a macabre puzzle game. You control Skullface, a serial killer hellbent on killing every camper in this homage to 80's horror movies. It combines a basic slide the block puzzle with a cute block world but with a dark sense of humour. Imagine Minecraft: the Horror Movie. One for grown-ups.

You can only move your character in straight lines, from wall to wall, but must find the right path to pass (and kill) all the teenagers. You must then continue this path to escape before being caught by the police. Some levels have limited moves, and some contain police that you have to avoid. You can rewind your steps if you end up in an impossible position. You can also buy hints once you have completed levels to gain enough credits. There is also a quick reflexes game that can build up your credits, so you can get the hints and the walkthroughs, so you will not get completely stuck and unable to complete the game.

The levels are displayed as video cassettes, each with a movie title that emphasises its inspiration. The original version, Slayaway Camp: 1980's Horror Puzzle Fun! is available on Android and iOS, Butcher's Cut is a console exclusive.

For horror film puzzle lovers, there are some extremely devious challenges, the murders are very silly rather than scary, and there is a lot of "tomato sauce" sloshing about.
