The Pedestrian

The Pedestrian (2020) is a puzzle game where you control a stick man navigating a series of road signs around a virtual city. It sounds a little odd and quite simple, but by layering its interconnected sign-based puzzles it creates an experience that is both enjoyable and stretching for the brain.

The main part of the game is the running, jumping and climbing levels inside each of the signs. However, each scene includes multiple signs that can be connected to each other and moved around. You also have to consider how the signs interact with other elements in the world to add a third and final layer to the conundrum.

As a mental challenge, The Pedestrian is engaging and enjoyable. For younger players, it can teach them about logic, strategic thinking and planning. And, like any good game, they won't even realise they are learning.
