Play Overview
The Wanderer: Frankenstein's Creature (2019) is an adventure game that offers a fresh (and remarkably faithful) look at the myth of Frankenstein. As you move through the hand-painted world you piece together who you are and where you came from. You choose not only where to go, but how to respond to the people you meet, whether to conform to who they want you to be or forge your own darker path.
You play a creature wandering without memory. As you explore the game's 18 different locations by clicking to reveal your surroundings you encounter joy and sorrow. Passing through the painted landscape blurs the boundary between reality and fiction. There are some light puzzles to solve as you go but the focus is on the narrative choices more than head-scratching.
It starts as an abstract piece of art but as you encounter animals, flora and humans, the question of your origins emerges and the game gains traction. Each choice you make shapes destiny as you search to answer questions about who gave you life? Your actions will shape the end of your story, choose carefully
More than a journey of discovery, though. How the creature feels affects the world around him. His emotions evolve the landscape in different directions. What he makes of the people he encounters leads to a unique ending.
