Play Overview
Everdeep Aurora is a retro-looking running, jumping and digging game where you search underground for your mother. As you dig down, you encounter a world full of people to talk to and puzzles to solve. It stands out for the way you create your own path by digging through the ground that's as much a navigational challenge as it is a platforming one.
As constant meteors batter the earth's surface, you play a kitten called Shell who finds herself separated from her mother. Hearing her calls from deep below the surface, you set out on a quest to find her. As you venture down into the depths, you come across small communities of colourful creatures that need your help.
Play involves digging through the ground with your shovel to find caves and passages you can explore by running, jumping, and dashing through the air. You find secrets and special items, and even entire towns filled with animals who set you quests. These are often completed by solving environmental puzzles, such as lighting up rooms by guiding light between lanterns. Others challenge you with dice or fishing games, sometimes accompanied by the people you meet on your adventure.
The result is a game where the puzzles and exploration are only part of the experience; getting to know the characters and helping out however you can, makes for an experience that's equal parts rewarding and lighthearted fun.
