Little Devil Inside is an adventure in a wilderness. Like Cuphead it has a visual style like American cartoons of the 1930s. You explore the world, encounter giant monsters and wield impressive swords. The adventure takes you to deserts, deep oceans, dark forest, caves and cliffs. You traverse the landscape on horseback and foot, wielding a range of weapons to take on different enemies.
It's unlike other games because it links two strands of life: adventure in the wilds, and life in your quaint home town. You don't only adventure but return to your home town to regather and reequip. The town itself has its own set of events and elements to interact with.
This enables you to equip yourself for the next adventure. Being ready for harsh weather, difficult terrain and carrying the right equipment is key. You need to research region before heading there. Maybe you go on foot, find a vehicle or use the public transport system.
The game is not out yet, and was originally planned for Wii U. On PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 it looks fantastic. But we are yet to discover if the multiplayer co-operative and competitive elements will remain.
