Play OverviewPlay Overview

One Night Stand (2016) is a narrative game where, after a drunken night of passion, you wake up the next morning next to a stranger lying naked in your bed. Play focuses on making emotive choices about how to respond and what to do, in an effort to explore the unknown bedroom and discover who the stranger is and what happened to bring you both together. It stands out not only for the unusual premise but for how the scenario plays out with nuance, awkwardness and vulnerability.

The challenge is to find a balance between asking too many and not enough questions. You can pursue unusual methods to find the answers you’re looking for, but need to not pry too much. The choices are yours. Will you stay and explore your relationship with this stranger? Or will you escape when the opportunity presents itself?

The result is a fascinating game with 12 unique endings to discover. The beautiful hand-drawn visuals invite you to play multiple times to see if you can keep up the act long enough to find out what really happened.

Our examiner, Andy Robertson, first checked One Night Stand a year ago. It was re-examined by Jo Robertson and updated 6 weeks ago.
