Play Overview
So Clover! (2021) is a cooperative word association brain game. It uses a plastic Clover centrepiece that holds four cards in a square with two words on each edge. Each player writes a linking clue word to the word pairs on the plastic Clover that the others use to guess which cards they had. It creates an unusual social word association challenge.
Each round you secretly deal four face-up cards onto your plastic Clover. The cards have different words on each edge so once they are slotted into place they form a two-by-two square with two words on each edge. You then write a clue word for each edge of the square.
You then remove the cards, add one extra card to your deck and place the plastic Clover in the centre of the table. The other players work together to identify which of the five cards makes sense with the clue words. They can make two guesses and score points for each correct card.
The result is an unusual word game that is different each time you play. It has an engaging social aspect as clues can be as much about who is playing as the words you have got. Because it's cooperative it's great for the whole family.
