You play Jeremiah Devitt, who's asked by his old childhood friend to come and investigate areas of suspected supernatural activity. When you arrive, you're thrust into a series of bizarre and horrific events, with blood, suicides, killings, and demonic rituals.
You move around each location searching for items you can use to advance the story. Maybe a magnifying glass or a lantern will shed light on an unseen door. Maybe you need to delve deeper into the graveyard to discover what the crows are eating. Each chapter tells its own story but ties into the larger whole, giving the impression of an interactive TV series.
The result is a game that offers a unique blend of horror, point-and-click, and puzzle elements. As you explore the abandoned manor not only do you start to solve the mystery of supernatural happenings but also uncover long-buried secrets from your character's youth. It's a frightening yet still rewarding experience for older teens and adults.
