Red Dead Redemption is an adventure game set in a vast wild west open world. As you play, you meet characters, engage in shootouts and heists, and define your character's legacy in the twilight of the cowboy era. It stands out for the freedom it gives you to go and do whatever you want, and the depth of story to discover in the detailed open world.

NotesAccessibility Notes

There are three difficulty settings, which affect things like enemy health and accuracy. You can swap the actions mapped to the shoulder buttons, but there are no actual remapping or different controller configuration options available. You can only manually save in certain areas.

In addition to the difficulty settings, there is also a Cheats many where you can enter different codes to unlock boosts, items, and useful/fun effects (such as infinite ammo). Once you've entered the code once, you can then activate that cheat at any time afterwards. This article from Eurogamer contains the full list of cheat codes and what each one does. One of the codes makes you invincible.

Text, including subtitles, is all high in contrast but also quite small. While all cutscenes are fully subtitled, dialogue during gameplay is only sometimes subtitled, so you can miss important context.

The game can sometimes be low in contrast, with some objects difficult to distinguish.
