A Plague Tale: Requiem is an action adventure where you play a pair of siblings Hugo and Amicia. The story continues from the first game's discovery of the plague of rats and Hugo's latent abilities. Standing out again for weaving the sibling interactions into the game, and the beautiful environmental storytelling, this takes Amicia and her brother on an intense new quest for hope, as a terrifying curse hunts them down.

Play involves navigating and exploring the world. You need to work with both Amicia and Hugo to get around guards and solve simple puzzles to subdue the rat threat. Unlike other games you are generally underpowered, which makes this an experience focused on stealth and avoidance of violence, although sometimes that becomes unavoidable.

The result is a game that questions your ability to sacrifice your innocence to save the one you love. You face the savagery of a collapsing world coming to terms by being overwhelmed by the rats.
