Big Hops is running, jumping and swinging game where you play a parkour frog. You use your long tongue and unusual ways to adjust the world to get around. Your mission is to get back home after being frog-mapped. Along the way you meet a charming cast of animal friends, collectible vegetables and gadgets to help you explore and solve puzzles. It's unusual because of the freedom of movement that lets you invent your own path through the world.
Play focuses on platforming, but not like the pre-planned challenges of Mario games. This is more like an open parkour challenge. But even more than games like Mirror's Edge or Skate you can shoot out your own rails to grind, clouds to jump on and bean poles to climb. Once you learn the ropes, you can get around very quickly.
This traversal takes you to a series of 8 themed worlds with fresh challenges and new ways to interact with the environment. Here you meet a charming cast of cute animal friends: rabbits, raccoons, gulls, otters, birds, geckos and bats to name a few.
The result is an inviting game for young players, that offers depths and unusual locomotion for more seasoned gamers.
