Play Overview
Big Brain Academy: Brain vs. Brain (2006) is a puzzle game designed to test and improve your mental capacity and well-being. You are presented with an assortment of challenges designed to measure how smart your brain is. The focus is on fun rather than learning, and the Big Brain Academy: Brain vs. Brain updates this with great multiplayer and online challenge modes.
The latest version on Switch, Big Brain Academy: Brain vs. Brain, brings the focus more on brain-to-brain challenges with friends and family in its 4-player matches. You can set each player's difficulty individually so children can compete against adults more easily. You can also take on other players in the new game, via the Ghost Clash mode, where you see competitors saved record performances but don't have to play at the same time as them. The new game also offers lots of outfit options you can unlock for your in-game character, from a cat outfit to a corn costume.
All the games offer a Test mode, Solo / Practice mode and Multiplayer / Versus mode. In Test mode, play consists of formal challenges each with five puzzles: Identify (identification-themed questions), Memorize (memory-themed questions), Analyze (reason-based questions), Compute (math-themed questions) and Visualize (visual-themed questions).
In Practice mode, you select an activity to improve your performance. Each activity has three levels of difficulty, and you can earn a bronze, silver, gold, or platinum medal. There's also a Versus mode for up to eight players where you compete to determine who has the heaviest brain.
There are three games in the series:
-
Big Brain Academy (2005) on DS
-
Big Brain Academy: Wii (2007) on Wii
-
