Play OverviewPlay Overview

Crab Champions (2023) is a fast-shooting game where you play weaponised crustacea battling it out on different islands. With up to three friends, you rush around collecting items and shooting enemies before they shoot you. It stands out for the simple old-school shooting that leans into choices about how you develop your crab's shooting abilities and equipment.

It's a game where you take on the challenge in runs that are usually less than 40 minutes. As you go you not only have to manage your health as you kill enemies but make good choices about upgrades. Play is like other looter shooters, where you collect items to progress and slowly become more powerful.

It's a shooting game where every choice matters and each run presents you with different loot combinations, enemy types and maps to explore. It always feels fresh while also providing plenty of choice and consequences.

The result is a hugely popular game for up to 4 players. The joy resides not only in the quick reaction shooting but in building an overpowered character to defeat the fearsome boss enemies. It's all wrapped up in smooth movement and shooting that harks back to games like Doom and Quake.
