Play Overview
Hexicon (2020) is a word-puzzle game where you complete words to gain control of an area of the map. You take turns to form words to score points but the real challenge is to capture the most tiles within your area. This combination of strategy and literacy is a great incentive to increase your word power.
Play involves selecting a chain of letters to capture tiles in your colour. You can focus on expanding your own territory or go after enemy letter tiles by using them in new words. The more times you use a letter in different words the darker the colour and the harder they are to steal. The result is a competitive word with a novel strategic element.
