Play OverviewPlay Overview

Hunt: Showdown (2019) is a high stakes shooting game set in the 1895 swamps of Louisiana, where you are hunting savage, nightmarish monsters. Either alone or in teams you search for clues to find and defeat the target before other players. You are then revealed to the other players and must race to an exit with your spoils. If you die you are out and must wait for the next round.

Play is highly competitive with human and computer enemies. You use sound, occult dark sight powers and stealth to outwit hand kill human players. It's high stakes because if you die in the main game you lose your character and their equipment forever. You gain characters by either purchasing them with in-game currency, or win Quick Play matches to earn characters.

It's a gory game that is design for older players who want to spend time (or money) developing characters that they then put on the line to go into missions with other players.

Our examiner, Andy Robertson, first checked Hunt: Showdown 2 years ago. It was re-examined by Jo Robertson and updated 10 weeks ago.
