Play OverviewPlay Overview

Kirby and the Forgotten Land (2022) is a running, jumping game where you explore a mysterious world with Nintendo's famous character who can inhale enemies to gain their powers. It offers a larger, more explorable 3D world than other Kirby games and works well with two players teaming up to take on the challenges.

You play Kirby and run around freely in the 3D stages. To battle enemies, you can use a range of basic attacks that are augmented when you inhale characters and gain new powers. As you progress through the levels you discover abandoned architecture from a current-day forgotten past.

Between the main levels, you can explore Waddle Dee Town which acts as a central hub where you can shop for customisations, play mini-games or even work at the Café. As you save more Waddle Dees the hub area develops and offers more options and things to buy.

Content Rating

Rated PEGI 7 for mild violence that lacks any apparent harm or injury to fantasy characters, as well as pictures or sounds that may be frightening to younger children. This game features combat between fantasy characters. Violence is unrealistic in nature, as are reactions to it. Characters flash when hit, without any visible harm beyond a reduction in health, and enemies disappear in puffs of smoke when defeated. Boss fights are more intense and frenetic, although the violence remains cartoon-like in nature. Some of the larger bosses may be frightening to younger children, featuring elements such as glowing red eyes.

Skill Level

7+ year-olds usually have the required skill to enjoy this game. Still, it’s important for parents and guardians to ensure they understand in-game purchases and have spending limits set-up. The cooperative play and simple cartoon apocalypse mean that even children with basic video game skills will enjoy the game.
