Play Overview
LOCK (2020) is a puzzle game about escaping rooms. LOCK stands for Logic Operated Combination Keep, referring to a digital password protected door lock. You must discover secret four letter word clues by exploring each space, in order to unlock panels, collect keys, and unlock further rooms. You will need all your powers of observation, codebreaking, and lateral thinking to solve the mystery of the island and the mysterious male voice who says he needs your help.
Everything in this game is designed to be part of the puzzle, from the colours, to the shapes, to the position they are in, to the sounds they make. You will need many different skills to complete the level. A codebook is provided to help you with things such as Morse code and Semaphore puzzles but mostly you have to work things out for yourself.
There are levels of complexity to each room which is revealed as you progress through the game, as each room has more than one puzzle to solve. You may find a pen and paper handy. There is a written walkthrough available if you get stuck, but you will get the best out of this game if you work out the codes yourself.
