Play Overview
Tren (2023) is a traversal-puzzle game set in a hand-crafted world as a wooden train, sailing boats and helicopters. You control points, shunt trucks around, operate cranes and generally move cargo from one location to the next. Like an escape room with toy trains, once you have solved all the puzzles, you can move on to the next room. Also, like those challenges, you experience a story along the way.
It's a high-score chasing, track-building adventure about a wooden toy train set. Various modes shown off offered a range of gameplay, some open-world train tinkering and timed challenges. The world in which you play also tells a story through the nostalgic toys and products you find. In this way, along with the fun and puzzles, the game tells a story about a father-son relationship and the upheaval of family separation and upheaval.
It includes a track-building kit featuring over 550 elements, which you can play around with to make your own tracks. And, as part of the Play & Edit feature in the template, you can alter the provided tracks and create your own challenges for other players to sweat through.
The game offers real physics, so you have to go the right speed not to lose cargo from the trucks and not to lose trucks from the track. To this end, you can upgrade the power, handling and speed of your vehicles. You have to use these abilities to deal with the different track scenarios, lifts, see-saws, turntables and the like.
