Play OverviewPlay Overview

Little Kitty, Big City (2024) is a traversal puzzle game where you help a curious kitten find its way home in an overwhelmingly big city. You play by exploring the city, helping other animals, and hopefully not getting caught. It stands out not only for its cute cat premise but for the living breathing world you get to know to get to where you need to go.

You're a curious kitten on an adventure to find your way back home. You have to find out how to get from location to location by traversing architecture and making tight jumps. You can also cling onto walls and foliage to aid your descent.

As you progress you soon realise that you need to interact not only with the city but the things and people you find. Use the objects you find to cause chain reactions that let you get to areas previously unreachable.

The result is a game that's part puzzle, part exploration and part catastrophe-making. It's simple and engaging in a way that younger players will enjoy. It has the feel of a Disney animal movie with a sprinkling of Untitled Goose Game mischief.

Our examiner, Jo Robertson, first checked Little Kitty, Big City 2 years ago. It was re-examined by Thom Robertson and updated 7 weeks ago.

Rated PEGI 3 for Mild Violence. The central cat character can make humans trip up and then steal their phone or lunch. The humans are not visibly injured and they get up angrily after falling down. Some humans may chase the cat to retrieve their belongings. If they catch up with your character, there is a hit sound and the cat flies into the air and meows, but without any injury. The main character can also sneak up and pounce on birds. The birds are held down and chirp before flying away unharmed, dropping a single feather.

Skill Level

7+ year-olds usually have the required skill to enjoy this game. Younger players need to have the skill to explore each environment and find ways to progress even when it seems like a dead end. They also need puzzle-solving skills.
