Play OverviewPlay Overview

Mini Metro (2015) is a sequencing strategy game where you create an ordered, efficient underground train system. It sounds like hard work, but the simple Tube-map visuals, calm music, and streamlined interactions make this relaxing, like sudoku. Dip your toe in this strategy challenge and keep the system running smoothly as the number of passengers increases.

The simple premise and uncluttered interface are a strategy game perfectly laid bare for beginners. Daily challenges and different cities gently increase the difficulty. It's a zen management that's relaxing and taxing in equal measure.

Our examiner, Jonah Monaghan, first checked Mini Metro 4 years ago. It was re-examined by Ben Kendall and updated 3 weeks ago.

This is a Sequencing and Strategy game with Simulation and Traversal elements. You can play with 1 to 4 players in the same room, but you can’t play it online. On Switch, you can play locally with up to three other people, all using a single Joy-Con to work together and construct the train lines.

Play Time: This game will take between 10 minutes and 20 minutes to complete. Each round can last up to 20 minutes, depending on how well you progress. The better you do the longer it will last, although it's rare to survive over 30 minutes. Daily challenges set targets that are usually a little more difficult but shorter.
