Our examiner, Andy Robertson, first checked Monument Valley 4 years ago. It was re-examined by Jo Robertson and updated 12 days ago.
6+ year-olds usually have the required skill to enjoy this game. Still, it’s important for parents and guardians to ensure they understand in-game purchases and have spending limits set-up. One family told us. "It surprised me how much my 5-year-old adores Monument Valley. I expected the puzzles to be way beyond him but apparently not! Mostly he played by himself, but then from time to time he'd come and ask me about one he was stuck on, or he had a few little moments of delight that he wanted to come and show me or tell me about. He also quite enjoys Alto's Adventure/Oddysey but finds them a bit trickier." Another parent said their kids 5 and 4-years old "played through the entire series and loved every second of it, with very limited help. It’s a brilliant puzzle game for helping children develop deduction skills from even a very young age."
