Play Overview
It's a game that became hugely popular on smartphones for its cute visuals, super simple controls and always-one-more-thing-to-collect linear progression. You work through nine mythical and alien-inspired worlds filled with things to discover and over 70 types of resources to collect. Play involves collecting, mining, crafting, logging, digging, smelting and even a little gardening.
As you progress you claim more land and gain better kit and abilities. But you also soon come up against challenges that need specific tools. While you start with a pickaxe you need to gain materials to craft a sharp sword, sturdy axe and all manner of armour.
The result is a game about incremental busy work that steadily gets you to your goal. Players enjoy the cosy atmosphere, music, and visuals that lean into the Animal Crossing aesthetic.
