The exploration, platforming and lovely worlds are of such high quality that this is an excellent game for players of any age. Play involves exploring the hub world and collecting tokens on the platforming levels while also staying safe from dangers and enemies.
The result is a classic platforming experience that is also approachable for a wide range of abilities. The quality of the characters, well-designed gameplay and variety on offer make this a great option for players of a wide range of abilities.

7+ year-olds usually have the required skill to enjoy this game. Still, it’s important for parents and guardians to ensure they understand in-game purchases and have spending limits set-up. Families have told us "My 7-year-old loves Lucky's Tale. She prefers to play with someone there to talk about it with. In the beginning, she needed a lot of help as it was her first platformer but she’s got the hang of it now. She likes to be encouraged to retry when she’s stuck and Dad sometimes does some difficult jumping for her. She’s brilliant at the logic puzzles where you have to push the statues around in the right order. We never help with those as we feel working things out logically by herself helps her critical thinking in other areas. She does tend to only play for a max 20 mins at a time."
