Play Overview
Set many years after the first game, you play Evan Tildrum, a young boy king in exile who decides to create a new kingdom and unite the nations of the world to restore peace. You set out on your adventure, recruiting people to your party and fighting enemies and monsters. As your fame and reputation grow, more and more people flock to your fledgling town, growing it into a vast city.
Play involves moving through the world and meeting characters to recruit to your team. You fight enemies in real-time combat, using your sword and issuing orders to magical creatures to deal damage, and rolling out of the way of incoming attacks. As you advance, you level up your characters and unlock new abilities and actions to help you. In addition to the combat, exploration, and puzzles, you also build your city, creating new structures and gathering citizens to keep it running.
The result is a sequel that expands upon the original by implementing a new, faster combat system and novel kingdom-building mechanics that create a unique blend of strategy and action.
