Play OverviewPlay Overview

One Hand Clapping (2020) is a running and jumping game where you sing into a microphone to interact with the world. The game acknowledges how challenging this idea may be, and gently leads you into using your voice to create platforms, adjust the wind and generally assist your progress as you direct your character with the gamepad.

The world is full of vibrant landscapes that respond not only to your input on the gamepad but to the notes and sounds you make with your voice. Sometimes you have to sing a particular series of notes to make a path across a gap. Other-times you have to hold a single note to push back dark ghouls.

The game notices how well you are doing and the range of notes you can reach. It then adjusts the range required and the difficulty to match your ability.

Early access phase is on Stadia but game is hoped to arrive on other platforms like PlayStation, Switch and Xbox. The Stadia controller microphone can't be used for the singing.

Our examiner, Andy Robertson, first checked One Hand Clapping 3 years ago. It was re-examined by Jo Robertson and updated 2 years ago.
