A fallen meteor has given the pups special powers and left Adventure Bay in a mess. It's up to you and the Pups to use their powers, rescue skills and gadgets to make the town awesome again. It's an adventure you can play cooperatively. This extends the play for youngsters by ensuring there are no dangerous drops or enemies to trip them up. Instead, you can play levels multiple times to steadily find and collect the various items.
One player directs the action and is always centre screen. This works well with a child in charge, but also if an adult wants to direct the action. Both players can still play their part, exploring a collecting. Every now and again there are special sections that are single-player. Temple Run-style sections challenge you to switch between three lanes to collect pup treats.
It's a fun game for families to explore the town and journey to Jake’s snowboarding resort, Tracker’s jungle and beyond, as you work together to rescue friends.

3+ year-olds usually have the required skill to enjoy this game. One family told us, "PAW Patrol: On A Roll Switch is pretty underwhelming if you've played heaps of platformers. But for my 3-1/2-year-old twins, it's taught them not just the basics of the genre, but the basics of interacting with a game, buttons and stick, making progress."
