Play Overview
Star Trek Prodigy: Supernova (2022) is an action adventure where you run around exploring different worlds, battling enemies and solving simple puzzles. You play on your own or with someone else as Dal and Gwyn, who each have different abilities needed to progress different parts of the levels. It's a mix of Uncharted style adventuring, but with approachability and playfulness focusing on a younger audience.
When the Protostar’s malfunctioning transporter scatters the crew across three alien planets, Dal and Gwyn must use their wits and skills to overcome ingenious puzzles, endure hostile environments and battle deadly robot armies to rescue Jankom Pog, Rok-Tahk, Zero and Murf.
You take command to explore a range of different alien worlds (Orisi, Mirios and Taresse) each offering specific hostile environments, puzzles, challenges and mysteries. As you search for your friends you must also keep an eye out for a range of enemies.
The result is a game not only noteworthy for the Star Trek theme. It offers some really novel environmental puzzles as things progress, many of which require some fun co-op play. From the shooting to the scanning and other interactions, things are kept simple and fun and approachable for players of any ages.
