Play Overview
Pokémon Sleep (2023) is a collecting game where your performance is based on how well you sleep in the real world. Depending on the length, quality and type of sleep, you are awarded with different Pokémon when you wake. In this way, you aim to improve your sleep by gradually filling out your list of Pokémon sleeping styles. It's a novel leverage of the Pokémon franchise that gently encourages the improvement of your sleeping schedule.
Before you go to bed each night, you open the app and place the phone face-down on your bed near your pillow, so it can track your movements, sounds, and length of your sleep. When you wake up, you can then see which Pokémon came to you during the night, which is based on the type of sleep you had, and feed them to collect them. Your goal is to track down and record the different sleeping styles each Pokémon has.
As you go through the week, you level up and unlock new types of Pokémon and sleeping styles, including rare types and special "shiny" variations. In the morning, you can feed your Snorlax food to increase your Drowsy Power, making more Pokémon visit each night. Each new week, you get a new Snorlax that likes different types of food.
The result is a game that encourages healthy sleep while simultaneously offering an exciting collecting mission that's gradually completed every morning over many weeks.
