Play Overview
Say No! More (2021) is an adventure game where you learn to say "no". You play as an intern at a new job, putting up with colleagues who are being unpleasant. The twist is that in this world, it's illegal to say "no". Eventually pushed to your limit, you discover the power of interacting with the world by saying "no".
You automatically move around the office, and then the wider world, on a mission to get your lunch box back. It's super simple. You only have to press a single button. As you progress, you can unlock different ways of saying no. This changes the reactions and chaos, but doesn't substantially change the game.
It's a wacky game set in a world that doesn't take itself too seriously. Like Elite Beat Agents, what starts as a little silly develops into something thought-provoking. This is a very different claiming of power to games like Detroit: Become Human, but it walks similar territory. Some may find the simplicity of the experience jarring, but as a novelty game to play in a family or school, it's unusual and enjoyable.
Our examiner, Ellen Robertson, first checked Say No! More 4 years ago. It was re-examined by Andy Robertson and updated 11 weeks ago.
