Play Overview
Sneaky Sasquatch (2019) is an adventure game where you sneak around in campsites and try to find food from coolers and picnic baskets without getting caught. From this simple premise grows a game with endless ways to play and explore its open world: race, play golf, ski, scuba dive, find buried treasure, rent an apartment, get a driver's licence or just find some books to read.
There are also daily challenges and high-score leaderboards for all the activities you complete. As well as available upgrades for your house and race car. You can customise your disguises and plan out strategies to distract people as you sneak past them.
It's a growing, changing game with new content regularly added. Recently there has been a new seaport area added to the left of the town. There are lots of jobs you can take on including, Ferry Captain, Forklift Driver, Crane Operator, Scuba Diver, Police Officer and Security Guard. There are loads of different tools you can equip including, Night-Vision Goggles, Binoculars, Motorcycles, Bicycles and Sneaking Boots. Then there are all the activities you can take on like mushroom foraging, delivering packages, cleaning underwater junk, exploring sunken ships and catching speeding drivers.
The game has a day-night cycle and sometimes it pays to go on night raids, although you do need to sleep as well. To earn money you also need to get a job as the game develops. "It's sort of Grand Theft Auto meets Untitled Goose Game," said Chris O'Shea.
The result is a game that feels deeply playful and open. It lets you play at your own pace and in your own way. It's ideal for a family, not only because you can each have your own save slot and there is a variety of activities, but because the developer continues to add content regularly to expand and improve the experience.
