Play Overview
Bug & Seek (2023) is a bug-catching adventure where you explore the land to collect and document the creatures you find. Play involves catching bugs, selling bugs for your Insectarium and bringing life back to your town. It stands out for its inviting web of discovery where there are no wrong choices, no energy levels to deplete and all the time you need to complete quests.
You've just spent the last of your life savings on an abandoned Insectarium bug museum. You must now work at the museum to fill orders, build your collection, and upgrade your equipment to find new, undiscovered creatures. You explore the habitats to find different insects: meadows, deserts, forests, wetlands, beaches, urban environments, and caves.
As you progress you become a master bug hunter. This involves levelling up your bug-catching skills, getting better equipment and expanding your Insectarium. Along the way you meet the locals to complete quests and discover who stole all the insects from the Insectarium.
The result is a game packed with over 175 real-life bugs, ranging from common insects to some of the world's most rare and valuable insects. It doesn't take itself too seriously which makes it an inviting challenge for anyone with even a passing interest in insects.
