Play OverviewPlay Overview

Takeshi and Hiroshi (2020) is a role-play adventure game about two brothers. Its unusual animation and light touch battles, where you chose your enemies rather than how to fight them, make it an ideal game to introduce the genre and for younger players.

You play as Takeshi, a young game designer trying to keep his younger brother Hiroshi entertained with a new game after the death of their father. As his game is still in the making, you must improvise and secretly play some of the monster roles to balance difficulty and ensure that Hiroshi can still win. As the game progresses the task of keeping Hiroshi becomes more and more difficult as the challenge for you as a game creator becomes increasingly intense.

The game cleverly combines unusual puppet animation of the brothers' real world and retro-style role-playing gaming within Hiroshi's tablet. It's a short and fun play for families, and it explores the dynamics of siblings and their love and care for one another.

Our examiner, Ellen Robertson, first checked Takeshi and Hiroshi 3 years ago. It was re-examined by Andy Robertson and updated 8 weeks ago.
