Play OverviewPlay Overview

Tanks, But No Tanks (2023) is a simple traversal and shooting tank battle game. You play against up to four other people or computer-controlled opponents, each trying to outwit the other while controlling movement and aiming separately. It stands out for the toy-like battles and the variety of fun weapons and game customisations you can pick for each round.

It's a simple game where both clever movement and aiming are the key to winning the round. Each map has a set of coins you need to collect, but at the same time, you need to keep an eye on your enemies and the projectiles they are firing at you. The coins can be used to upgrade your tank's weapons, armour, and special abilities in between rounds.

For each round, you can choose from a wide range of rules and weapon options. Maybe you opt to have deployable turrets for more defensive options, or do you want ricocheting shots, or maybe the ability to teleport to the position of your projectile?

The result is a game that keeps things simple but offers a knife-edge challenge. It's fun against the computer but really comes to life with four friends or family playing together. With loads of unique levels, innovative weapons and upgrades you can tweak the settings to suit any group really well. There's even a tournament that tracks who has won the most rounds.
