Temple of Rubbo (2022) is an action adventure game where you fight through dungeons to rescue an ancient wizard as a band of pirates trapped on an island and transformed into animals. Desperate to become human again, they fight their way through all kinds of enemies but time is tight. With only three minutes to complete each stage, you must work quickly to destroy the enemies and move on or you die and have to start all over again.

Play involves choosing an animal and making your way through randomised dungeons, fighting a variety of enemies with an array of simple weapons: swords, spears and arrows. There are ten different characters and set ups, such as a knight or archer, which enable you to use different powers.

As you make your way through the five areas, you can buy items and upgrades. However, you must be careful, as once you die you are returned to the main island and must start all over again. What starts as a simple colourful repeating challenge, quickly transforms into a frantic battle for survival as you take on not only the islands enemies but also the limited time frame.
