Play OverviewPlay Overview

The Smurfs 2 - The Prisoner of the Green Stone (2023) is an exploration running, jumping and shooting game. You hunt down the scattered Green Stone pieces by exploring the levels, gathering collectables and clearing out the decomposing matter. It builds on the first game with more generous movement including a new sprint ability and refreshed upgradable weapons.

You must hunt down the Green Stone fragments as you clean up the decomposing matter and defeat the evil Stolas. As one of the four different Smurfs (Storm, Handy, Dimwitty, or Brainy) each with different abilities in five different worlds you slowly piece together the fragments to save the world from chaos.

The platforming around the world is a good balance of running around, jumping on mushrooms and enemies and gliding through the air. This is punctuated with collecting the items you need and downtime in the village where you can talk to other Smurfs.

Content Rating

Rated PEGI 7 for non-realistic violence in a child-friendly setting or context, mild violence that lacks any apparent harm or injury to fantasy or mythical beings and creatures, and pictures or sounds likely to be scary to young children. Players encounter various fantastical enemies throughout. These enemies can be defeated by shooting at them with a gun called the Smurfomix. Characters don't give any indication of pain or injury when hit or defeated, simply disappearing in a puff of black goo. The game's villain is a rather large and intimidating creature that some young players may find scary. It has a low, booming voice and must be fought multiple times. There's also an area in the game that has a spooky atmosphere, including flickering lamplight and a giant, creepy scarecrow.

Skill Level

6+ year-olds usually have the required skill to enjoy this game. Still, it’s important for parents and guardians to ensure they understand in-game purchases and have spending limits set-up.
