Uncharted 2: Among Thieves is an action-adventure game that puts you in the role of treasure hunter Nathan Drake. On your journey, you'll encounter the well-armed private military group of Zoran Lazarević who will stop at nothing to find the lost city of Shambala.

Like the other games of the Uncharted series, play is a mix between combat and puzzles. Combat is required to get through Zoran's private military who block you at every step, while puzzles are required to find more clues into the passage of Shambala. When solving puzzles, you use the notes of Marco Polo and his lost fleet to progress onward. The game includes puzzles such as finding correct locations, enabling switches in order, and translating symbols.

While many of the systems and mechanisms of Uncharted 2 are the same as Uncharted, the game expands on each of these systems providing more engaging puzzles, combat, and traversal providing players with an engaging experience.

Content Rating

Rated PEGI 16+ for Violence. Violence consists of hand to hand fighting and use of guns. Although the violence is bloody and there are some injuries it is not particularly strong in that it lacks any gory elements.

Rated for younger players in the US. Rated ESRB TEEN for Blood, Language, Suggestive Themes, Violence. Players will encounter mercenaries/soldiers who will attack with realistic machine guns. Players can brawl with these mercenaries/soldiers, shoot back at them with pistols and rifles, or sneak up on the enemies to perform "stealth kills" (e.g., neck-snapping, choke-holds). During gunfights, brief splashes of blood are emitted from characters; more shots—and thus, more blood—are required to kill a growling ice beast. The action sequences are interspersed with cutscenes that are dramatic, but just as often, humorous in tone; a handful of them contain sexual/suggestive innuendo: "Oh! Is that an ancient Tibetan ritual dagger in your pocket . . . Oh! Maybe I'm just happy to see you" and "Well, so much for foreplay". In one scene, a woman (fully clothed) straddles on top of the central character, places his hands on her hips (he drums his fingers), then kisses him as the camera pans away (to a painting above the bed). In the heat of battle and conversation, the words sh*t, b*tch, and a*s are sometimes exclaimed.
