Usual June is an action narrative game about a paranormal threat to a village community. You play June, a young woman who goes to the small town of Fen Harbor for a relaxing summer holiday to work, make friends, and (as you do in video games) talk to ghosts. However, when you arrive, you find the town in disarray caused by a paranormal invasion. You set about defeating the ghostly invaders and uncovering the town's dark secrets.

Play involves traversing different dimensions and fighting monsters in fast-paced and precise melee combat with swords and other weapons. Timing your attacks, dodges, and parries is essential, and as you progress, you grow in strength, allowing you to take on stronger foes. Along the way you meet and talk to the varied locals to piece together the origin of the invasion.

The result is a game that combines action and adventure with a nostalgic coming-of-age story of a summer holiday adventure, making for a game that's at once engaging, evocative, and entertaining.
